Job Summary: 
The Maintenance Mechanic position will be responsible for maintenance activities that are performed to keep the production equipment and machinery continuously running. The position will be required to inspect, repair, modify, upgrade, maintain, and install press, finishing, and facilities equipment and machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Provides technical assistance to operators and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair defective components (motors, bearings, clutches, electrical systems).
• Clean, repair, and install equipment parts as needed.
• Inspect machinery regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• As required, perform minor plant maintenance duties including (but not restricted to): Replace air conditioning filters, inspections of fire extinguishers, light bulb replacement, maintaining all company tools in toll crib, minor machine maintenance, painting, carpentry, errands to pick up parts and working with experienced maintenance personnel on large-scale jobs.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Previous mechanical experience in printing industry or industrial maintenance encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical problems, have mechanical skills and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to follow written instructions from manuals, schematics, specifications, and manufacturer’s directions are required.
• Math and Computer skills required.
• Forklift experience required. 
• Baler experience preferred but not required.
• Use and familiarity with power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Team Player and can focus on solutions.
• Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time.

Education and Experience: 

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of mechanical work experience. 

Physical Requirements: Standing- 80%, Walking-20% 

Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available & Schedule: 1st shift: 8:00am-4:00pm, 2nd shift: 4:00pm-12:00am (+12% differential)
