From Inkjet to Inbox-Mail that moves
The Inkjet Mail Operator applies knowledge of printing and inserting of mailing equipment, software and integrated systems to process computer output on the printers automated inserting/mailing machine and prepares outgoing mail.
What You’ll Do
- Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Review job bags for specifications, customer samples, and proofs if furnished.
- Gathers component material(s) and positions it to accommodate efficient machine feeding.
- Apply postage by selecting the proper feed rate and monitor the machine to avoid errors/jams during the process.
- Monitor, collaborate, and instruct mailing helpers to achieve consistent performance and product quality.
- Conduct working knowledge of mail sorting, traying, sacking, and palletizing mail procedures.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices.
What You Bring
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 1-3 years related experience or training.
- Experience working in a mailroom, USPS, or print production environment.
- Machine operators with experience setting up, maintenance, and running machines are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of USPS postal regulations preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking 50% | Standing 50% | Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 25–50 lbs. and more. | Ability to stand for extended periods. | Safely move materials weighing 500–750 lbs.| Using manual pallet trucks |
- Ability to lift, move, and position materials throughout the workday and safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials.

Shift Available & Schedule: 2nd shift 4:00pm-8:00am,
